Question 1

How is my price worked out?

Accepted Answer

It's based on your model, storage and condition, from our current price list. You see it right away, before we ask for any contact details, and every answer shows how it moves the price.

Question 2

Is the price I see the price I get?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as your device matches what you told us. We check it together at the meetup. If something's different, we show you what we found and the new price from the same price list, before anything is agreed. You can take it or walk away at no cost.

Question 3

Do you pay the most?

Accepted Answer

Not always, and we won’t claim to. We pay strong prices and we do the driving: we come to you within 48 hours and pay cash on the spot. The price you see is the price you get, unless the device isn’t as described.

Question 4

How long is my price good for?

Accepted Answer

7 days, until the end of the day shown with your price, Toronto time. Book a meetup in that time and that's your price.

Question 5

Do you buy cracked or damaged devices?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cracked glass is fine, and so are most faults: your price shows what it's worth. A device that won't turn on gets a parts price. Bent, swollen or water damaged? Text us a photo and we'll tell you.

Question 6

Do you buy by mail, or have a store I can visit?

Accepted Answer

Neither. We come to you: every sale happens in person, at a busy public spot near you in the GTA and surrounding areas. That way you can watch the check and get paid in cash before you hand anything over.

Question 7

Do you come to me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pick a busy public spot near you, anywhere in the GTA and surrounding areas, and we'll meet you there within 48 hours. We meet in public so we're both safe.

Question 8

What happens at the meetup?

Accepted Answer

You unlock your device and we check it together, in about 5 minutes. We confirm your price. You erase it while we watch. We pay you in cash, you count it, then you hand it over.

Question 9

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Your device, charged to at least half. Photo ID. The charger if you have it (for a MacBook, bring it if you said you would). The box only if it's sealed. For an Apple Watch, the iPhone it's paired with.

Question 10

Can I change or cancel my meetup?

Accepted Answer

Yes, anytime and for free. Use the link in your confirmation, or text us at [Phone number]. If we're ever late or can't make it, we'll tell you, and your price stays held.

Question 11

I'm outside the GTA and surrounding areas. Can I still sell to you?

Accepted Answer

We can't buy from you yet. We only buy in person, and we don't buy by mail.

Question 12

How do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

In cash, on the spot, before you hand over the device. Count it in front of us and take your time. Cash is the only way we pay.

Question 13

Are there any fees?

Accepted Answer

No. The price you agree is the cash you get.

Question 14

How do I make sure my data is erased?

Accepted Answer

Sign out of your accounts at home before you leave. That turns off Find My or the Google lock. At the meetup, after the check, you erase the device yourself while we watch, and we both see the setup screen. Already erased it at home? That's fine too. We never need your passwords or passcode.

Question 15

Can you buy a device that's locked, financed or reported lost?

Accepted Answer

We can't buy a device that's still linked to an Apple, Google or Samsung account, managed by a work or school, has a balance owing, or has been reported lost or stolen. Phones locked to one carrier are fine, at a slightly lower price. We check the serial number at the meetup.

Question 16

Can I sell more than one device?

Accepted Answer

Yes, up to 3 at one meetup. Get a price for each, then book once. Selling 10 or more? Contact us and we'll price the whole batch.
